Details of your Orc character: Name: Amentii Class: Warlock Level: 80
A female orc, with blue eyes and dark pigtails, tinted with a deep purplish color as the sun glints off of them, is sitting by herself, leaning against a wall, overlooking a buzzing corner in Dalaran. Although, on a closer look, one might notice she's not entirely alone. A dark-furred cat is resting in her lap, and she's petting it absentmindedly. If you look closely you might see that her eyes seem glazed over, and that she glances frequently to her left. It is difficult to notice, but looking closer, by following her gaze, one might reckognize a small creature.
The creature is, as mentioned, hard to really see, but once laid eyes on, it's clearly there. In order to actually outline it features one seem to have to peer at it, but as one do, the creature stand out with its restless movements and its greytoned, sharp features and, those who have befriended a warlock before, might reckognize the creature as an imp. A grin appears on the orcs lips, and she nods at the imp. From the looks of it, it might appear as she's having a somewhat muted conversation with it. The imp shifts in return, and seem to be playing with fire in its hands. The orc leans her head back and chuckles, her eyes half closed now, before she lays her glazed over gaze at the imp again. She shakes her head at it, and suddenly a hoarse voice flows over her lips, a voice that sounds like it's not been used in a little while; "you have no idea." The sentence trails of as she grins at the imp again.
The orc suddenly looks down at the feline in her lap, and purrs at it. For those standing closely to her, a whisper can be heard; "Shadooow." She scratches the dark cat behind its ears as it yawns and streches on her lap.
She shakes her head suddenly, as if coming to herself, and her eyes seems to be in focus again. She gazes around herself, eyeing the people around her, nodding at the ones returning her gaze.
Tell us something about your playing experience:
I started playing WoW summer of 2006. My bf lured me into it and I found myself having fun playing. I started out on Defias, and have stayed ever since. I've got ten chars on the Horde side of Defias, and at times I'm having fun lvling the others. Amentii however, is the one that gives me the most, both gamewise and rp-wise. I've done a little bit of raiding, late vanilla, and early tbc, but after a break in late tbc, I never got back to raiding. Afterall, what I enjoy the most in the game is finding new friends, and hopefully have them join me in some rp once in a while as well.
Tell us something about your roleplaying experience:
I used to play pen and paper rpg with a group of friends a few years back, but as they all got hooked into WoW, I found myself the only one still wanted to keep going. That's when i got lured into WoW as well, and even though I've never really focused on my rp in WoW, it's always been an important aspect of how I play my characters. Last guild I was in was the Esoteric Foundation, from early on, which was founded by a few friends of mine, as an rp-guild. The focus in that guild quickly changes however, and I found myself being a member of a raiding guild instead of an rp-guild. I didn't mind too much however, as i still had friends to rp with. I always love finding people able to rp beyond a few emotes, and figured I might actually try applying here, in order to finally get more focus on the rp-aspect which I enjoy so much.
And finally, please write a short story and/or IC introduction about your character:
As to her background... Well I don't like to blurt out too much of 'menti's history.. That's for her to decide to tell people when she finds she them trustworthy. But a few facts I'll allow myself to share with you, hopefully she'll forgive me telling them, or maybe she'll not find out I told you before she gets a chance to, herself.
Amentii, or 'menti as I like to refer to her as, does not have a clear rememberance of her early years. This bothers her quite a bit, but is not something she shares with a whole lot of people. I have a few ideas of what might have happened to her, but as she is searching for her past, I am not one to jump to conclusions as to what the truth actually might be.
Her first clear memory is her hearing a voice in the her mind, and by answering it she was lead through a labyrinth of images in her head before she finally unravelled the shadows and found herself sitting on her knees in a dark place, unfamiliar to her, underneath a tree. She was all alone but for the creature standing in front of her peering into her eyes. She quickly reckognized it as the owner of the voice in her head.
After recovering for a little while, sitting there, the creature constantly watching over her and offering her something to drink, she stumbled to her feet and, the two of them slowly started walking. They headed off in one direction, hoping they would come across someone or something that would aid them in their search out of the darkness. The darkness surrounding them, and the darkness of mind.
After stumbling around for an unknown amount of time in the dim lit landscape, they finally spot some lightening of air in the sky up ahead. As they moved towards it she heard a shouting voice coming at them. A warning shot through her mind from the creature and she quickly took a defensive pose. Charging through the woods a grey wolf appeared, and as it landed on her they tumbled to the ground together.
After regaining themselves, the wolf started transforming, and the person hiding within the wolf-coat appeared to be a greenskinned person somewhat similar to what herself looked. That is, as to what she had noticed from her reflections in a pond they had crossed a while earlier.
Well, to make a long story short, the other orc told her what little she knew about what was going on in the world at this moment in time, and they quickly decided they'd travel together to find more of their own kind. As they quickly deliberated, there is strength in numbers. Together the three of them moved towards the opening up ahead and came to cross into a different landscape, which she later could reckognize as the Barrens, and the place from which she had come, to be known as Ashenvale. The other orc lead them to a larger group of their kind, and although they rarely travel together anymore, they now referf to each other as sisters, although not by blood, they are bound by kin and by their joined early effort in finding a new "home".
There are several creatures and people the orc later on came to meet, each a story in itself, but during these meetings the orc came to find she had been called Amenti in the past. Not knowing the rest of her name, it being a part of the past she's searching for, she's come to take an extra i to her name in rememberance of her search.
There are many details in her existence that I wish not to embellish here, but rather leave it up to 'menti to share by herself. 'menti's eventually found herself a place among the new horde, and has devoted a part of her new life to be of service to Thrall, although she continues her search for her true origins.
As she never relented to follow others advice to rid herself of her newfound companion, she instead found herself rather skilled in this sort of fighting, and even though being regularly frowned upon, due to the company she keeps and the way she wields the shadows and flames to her will, she firmly believes there is more to the world and existence than most people are aware of, and that her chosen path of life is not at all the evil most people tend to see it as, it just have to be wielded correctly.
Hmm...It seems this got to be a bit long, sorry about that, even though there is much more to say about Amentii. But as I said, she prefers to be the one telling her story herself. This is however an ongoing history as she is in search for her past and for the reason behind her way of being.
Thanks for your time. 'menti.
