Name: Tliíjgi (in an old dialect of Orcish, this name means “the edge [of a blade]” in common-tongue)
Class: Rogue
Level: At the moment, 78
Role-playing experience: This will be my first attempt at RP'ing with a World of Warcraft character. I've played D&D in the past, where I often fulfilled the role of DM, so I’m very familiar with the workings of fantasy worlds.
Short story: Tliíjgi doesn't know much about his life: he became an orphan around the time of Orgrim Doomhammers defeat over Blackhand the Destroyer, and as such, does not even know his real age. All he knows is that he was born a blackrock orc – although he's always had an uneasy feeling for his shadow brethren.
For a little over a decade Tliíjgi worked in the deep places of that vile mountain, serving the role as cook for the many hungry blackrocks – a good job, in comparison to bone-pickers or dragon-feeders – however, he never was satisfied, for in his heart beat the heart of a glorious fighter! And not a fighter for the blackrock clan (Tliíjgi sees the blackrock as having lost their honor), but rather for Thrall, [then] new warchief of the horde.
He planned a daring escape from the mountain he felt had become his prison. He poisoned the food of some guards in key positions, and within a week, he had found a human ship bound for Kalimdor. Hiding in the cargo holds of the ship, Tliígji stayed quiet and out of sight for days, until the ship hit the shore. His destination was near: Durotar was on the horizon.
Tliíjgi decided right away to become trained in the art of blades, stealth and poisons: the way of the rogue. A fighter of great agility, Tliíjgi has been training for the past many moons to hone his skill. Working in the shadows of the gates of Orgrimmar, he waits for a chance to prove himself to his fellow orcs.
Being very proud (even for an orc), Tliígji often finds himself misunderstood: he fights neither with the strength of a warrior, nor with the wisdom of a shaman; and his methods of fighting are somewhat unorthox - can be viewed as cowardly - something Tliígji hardly thinks of himself as being.
While very dedicated to his training, he also finds that unwinding after a long battle calms the mind; leaving him in a better state of mind, and causes him to fight better later. For this reason, Tliígji is both a quite capable fisherman and cook, spending much of his time fishing (he even has a gemmed fishing pole he loves: "sparkly").
Quick on his feet, with lightning intelligence and strategic balance, Tliígji finds himself most at home in face of danger. “Show me my allies, so I may know who are my enemies. Show me my death, so I might greet it with open arms. Show me my strength, so I may use it for the horde. Show me the end of my people, so I may prohibit such an end.” - Tliígji's prayer.
