Name: Kharmak Khancrusher
Class: Warrior
Level: 10 at the moment, working on leveling.
Details of your Orc character: Kharmak has strange markings on his body; they are a dull brown and seem very tribalistic (Not tribal tattoos). He is covered in laces of laceration scars, due to many battles. He is a lot broader than most already broad male Orcs, adding a quite more brutish and imposing look that Orc's have already gained a reputation for. He always seems to carry a set, determined look on his features, never adopting another look, it is blatant to tell sarcasm and humour are no real favourite of his, nor ones he has chosen to master. His skin colour is bordering more on the dark grey than the green side, possibly giving away ties to the Dragownmaw's. Kharmak has a deep sense in loyalty and honour among the Orcish codes, although once that has been severed by the opposing party he shall not regret any actions he makes in return. He is a rough looking Orc, like most not taking pride in their looks. He does however grow his hair in long, thick braids. A symbolism for his victories in wars.
Tell us something about your (role) playing experience: I RP'ed on "The Sha'tar" from when WotLK was released, maybe a month after to be exact, it was....an alright server, although it had many a "Loller" in there and more ERP than any sane person can handle... So I left after finding that I could not find any more decent RP there. I then moved onto a private server; "Conquest of the Horde" to be exact... A very good server, but not a high enough population. Standards on that server were very high, hence why my history may be a tad longer than needed; it’s rubbed off on me. I also had a small go on Prologue which was quite entertaining and now I return to retail to join this realm. PvP is a first love of mine and I am a sucker for RP too... So may as well try them both mixed.
And finally, please write a short story and/or IC introduction about your character:
History: Kharmak was born into a small Orcish camp up, to his shamanic mother and his warrior father. At year zero the first war kicked off, Kharmak’s father was whisked away to fight in the war leaving his mother to care for him. In this time she had tried to edge his childhood to revolve around the ways of the shaman, but a toy axe was his preferred way. Whisking and waving it about not caring if anyone else got into the way. Kharmak’s father took a part in the assault of Stormwind, lead by Gul’dan, even though it failed.
Not long after Kharmak’s father returned, beginning to train him or more beat him as part of training to become a warrior. It was going rather well despite Kharmak’s young age, he had begun to understand the need in this training, but before it could progress. Blackhand the destroyer rallied the Orcs back to fight.
As the Orcs returned to lay waste on the humans, the elder warrior of the village had taken a liking to young Kharmak’s determination and fiery heart, something the slightly older Orcs did not like. Although the elder trained him, the other child Orcs had begun to overpower him and batter him. Although this was a rough procedure, Kharmak endured it all, taking it as training.
News arrived not long after that Blackhand had been slain by Ogrim Doomhammer and now he was the new Warchief. News was also bought that the village’s warriors had also taken part in the sacking and destruction of yet more human settlements including the city of Stormwind, great news to Kharmak was that his father was actually making a name for himself out there, gaining the new title “Skullcrusher.”
A couple of years later, Kharmak’s father, along with the other Orcs of the village returned, Kharmak’s mother had now given birth to Kharmak’s fathers second child, naming him “Lazentuk”. Although Kharmak’s father never really took as much of a liking to Lazentuk as he did with Kharmak, he still tendered him and encouraged his first years around the life of being a warrior. Along with the warrior elder, Kharmak’s father continued to hone Kharmak’s skills. This encouraged the Orc boys to beat Kharmak more, although now Kharmak began to fight back, perhaps taking out three or four before being piled on and outnumbered.
His father never asked what happened, as he knew things like this happen.
In year 6, Kharmak’s tenth year into life the village, Kharmak’s father along with the fighting classes of the clan were called once again to aid the Horde. Fighting a temporary battle in Southshore, then an ever tide-changing fight in Quel’Thalas, but eventually retreat.
Kharmak himself was now a brute of an Orc, although always quite quiet. The Orcs who once beat him were now in turn beaten, heavily in “Sparring” sessions. He also tried his best to teach Lazentusk in the ways he had been taught, including all the harsh beatings to toughen him up, his mother never approved of it, but said nothing in challenge.
Later within the year stories are heard that the Horde has eventually been destroyed and many have managed to escape back through the portal alive, however the portal itself had been destroyed. The clan never believed the story until few of their warriors returned, confirming the story. To shock and horror they begin to care for the wounded warriors. Kharmak waited for days for his father to return, but saw nothing of him. After finally giving up he moved to the Warrior elder, his teacher, who begins to train him with this new feeling of upset and rage, teaching Kharmak to hone it to his advantage.
Still only a year later, the Orcs had reformed themselves for yet another time and once again the clan found themselves sending their only just healed Orcs back to Azeroth to claim the artifacts by travelling through the newly opened Dark Portal. Kharmak, although too young, had wanted to go, he was denied by the elder. Which only aggravated him further, but he accepted it reluctantly and carried on to fight and train still.
As the clans returned successful with the artifacts’ and were soon followed by the Alliance forces, Ner’zhul began to open his promised portals. Although it was more than Draenor could handle. Many of the remaining Orc clans including the one with Kharmak rallied up to try and escape from Draenor, although they found themselves encountering the humans on the inside, planning to destroy the Dark Portal from the inside.
Kharmak along with his mother, brother Lazentusk and his elder of the clan managed to sneak around and pass in through the Dark Portal before it was completely destroyed. However once on the other side the Humans were waiting for them and all four were captured and taken to an internment encampment where most Orc were now being held.
Months passed, and more orc prisoners were rounded up and placed within the internment camps. As the camps began to overflow, the Alliance was forced to construct new camps in the plains south of the Alterac Mountains. To properly maintain and supply the growing number of camps, King Terenas levied a new tax on the Alliance nations. This tax, along with increased political tensions over border disputes, created widespread unrest. It seemed that the fragile pact that had forged the human nations together in their darkest hour would break at any given moment.
Several years later, Kharmak now fully into adulthood, the Orcs lead by Thrall began to strike back, beginning to free the Orcs from there internment camps en mass. Kharmak and his small party helped alongside Thrall and the new Horde to free their kin and finally they reached Durnholde. Although they won it has did cost the Orcs and Kharmak. Although Doomhammer died and Thrall took over which is known by all, Kharmak found that his elder of the tribe and his mother had died in the assault. Distraught at the loss of his mother, Kharmak took his brother and left the New Horde before it had even hardly begun. Together they travelled to find their father.
Upon one of their encounters, they ran into a small clan of Centaurs, which bought round a brutal and savage fight between Kharmak and Lazentusk against the Centaurs. Eventually Kharmak and his brother got the upper hand and defeated them, upon also killing the Khan of the clan, they gave themselves the name “Khancrusher”. Then they have carried on their search for their father.
After a couple of years, the brothers gave up the search deciding to head back and join the New Horde. From here both brothers eventually joined the assault into Northrend, initially signing in with the Warsong Offensive, but soon being transferred into the Kor’Kron on Icecrown. It was here that Kharmak’s brother was reported K.I.A and although on every assault Garmak tried his best to find his brothers remains, he could not find them. Assuming he had been “turned” Kharmak quickly gave up the search, vowing death to anyone whose allegiance lay with the Scourge.
Kharmak earned a helmet in his time in Icecrown, taken from a Vrykul battle-champion. A renowned one at that, the skull of the champion remains attached to his axe, whilst he keeps the helmet on his person at most times.
After the defeat of the Lich King, Kharmak returned to Orgrimmar, only to see that the news of the “Cataclysm” had become true, although upon his return Orgrimmar had been rebuilt and Garrosh Hellscream was now the chieftain of the Horde. Kharmak was almost immediately sent to the island of Tol Barad as a veteran serving under “Hellscream’s Reach” After several small conflicts in the peninsula and a fair few skirmishes in the actual area of Tol Barad, Kharmak was sent back to Kalmidor, at a great reluctance, the generals thought he would be a better asset in taking out the Humans invading the Barrens.
So Garmak now fights the Humans in the place, travelling round the lands with just him and his wolf as they lend aid to the Orcs where needed. After a couple of years, the brothers gave up the search deciding to head back and join the New Horde.
